I don't about you, but I am everso glad that it is Friday!! LOL
My "Must Do-'To-Do" list is completely blank and I've made some serious progress on most all of the rest of the things that found their way on my 'to-do' list. Whew! I feel soo much better now. I'm able to relax a little.
I watched an inspirational movie last night called "The Reading Room". James Earl Jones stars in it as a widower who follows his wife's dying wish and opens 'The Reading Room'. I enjoyed it and the ultimate message--"Care More, Hate less".
Happy Friday!!

Ever-Growing To-Do List
Wednesday, February 27, 2008
Hello again! Today, I made a list of everything I need & want to get done before I leave to go visit my dad next week. It keeps getting longer and longer despite all the things I've managed to already cross off. I'm crossing my fingers that I can manage to get all the important stuff done.
Yeah, I know!! LOL
You're thinking, "Girl, what are you doing blogging when you could be tackling that "to-do" list!"
LOL
Can we say, "P r o c r a s t i n a t e !!"
LOL Yeah, and that is one of those stinkin' habits I'm trying to eliminate...lol wish me luck!
You're right!! I'm outta here. Hope to be back l8r.

Finding time for creativity every day
One of my goals for myself for 2008 was to strive to find time to do something creative each and every day. Well, before I could even consider attempting that I had to 're-find' my workspace/desk area in my scrap'n room. I am completely embarrassed to admit that it took me the better part of January to even get the desire to put out the energy to clean up my scrap'n room. Finally, I just did it! The room isn't entirely cleaned and organized; however, my desk and work area are super clean.
No, LOL!! I do not have any before/after shots to share. Why?!! Well, because there still is a TON of cleaning and organizing to be done. The plan is to do them in baby steps while also mixing in some actual creative time.
Today, I was a little busy in the creative department. First, I finished up some recipe pages showcasing an Irish theme. I stepped out of my comfort zone and used some Egyptian Gold embossing powder. It added a touch of glitter and glitz to my page. I am really pleased with how they turned out. Yes, I plan on scanning or uploading a pix of the page to share--LOL I just have to first figure out how one upoads pix/scans here--LOL (yes, Cheryl, I plan on calling you and seeking your expertise).
Recently, my friend and extremely talented stamper, Kathy gave me a beautiful card. I simply love the card--I'm asking her if I can share her card here with you, too. I love the design and basic sketch of this card. It lends itself to be easily recreated a multitude of ways.
In fact, I took that same basic design of Kathy's card and created one of my own to use for my submission in a card swap. Again, I stepped out of my comfort zone. I used a pale pastel pink as one of the colors in the palette for the card. LOL--You know how pastels, much less pastel pink is soooooooo not a color that I am comfortable working with normally. Later, I will try to either scan or take a pix of my card so that I can upload it, and add it here to share.
I am pleased with myself because not only did I make the recipe pages and the 6 + 1 cards to send for the swap, + 1 for me--making a total of 8 cards, I made another 4 cards to have on hand for my stash to send out to friends. I also cleaned up my mess so my desk area/workspace is clean and ready for the next project. Yup!! I am doing the happy scrap'n dance!!

I've taken the plunge

Ok, I've finally done it. I've taken the plunge and started a blog. My goal is to use my blog to showcase some of my creative works and have some fun in the process.
Those of you experienced bloggers will have to be sure to share your tips and secrets with me.
I'm not completely sure what I'm getting myself into---but here goes!
